Dr Endre Bajúsz was born on 21 October 1976 in Senta, Vojvodina. He was introduced to football in Ada, and later began his career with second-division side FK Novi Sad before joining Győri ETO in 1999. He subsequently played for Pécsi MFC and MTK as well. He made a total of 154 NB I appearances and scored three goals, and celebrated a league title with the blue-and-whites from the capital.
During his playing career, he qualified as a physical education teacher in Pécs in 2002, graduated in law from the University of Pécs in 2008, and from 2010 completed specialist training in sports law. From 2010 he worked at the Hungarian Football Federation, and from 2016 at the State Secretariat for Sport. From 2022, for three years, he worked as sporting director of DVTK before becoming academy director at Honvéd.
"The common goal formulated together with the club management is to establish an academy that operates efficiently and, within a short period, on a market basis. Taking Honvéd's identity and values into account, our professionals must develop the footballers of the future according to a unified approach. Honvéd's Academy is currently one of the best academies in the country. We must strive to be able to offer players suited to modern football to the international market by the age of 16-17, while also continuing to develop them and integrate them into senior Hungarian football" - Bajúsz outlined his goals to the club's official website before also discussing his responsibilities.
"I have arrived with big goals in a well-structured system. Alongside directing the day-to-day operation of the academy departments, I have to optimise processes, oversee that operations follow the defined club philosophy, and represent the club's interests both inside and outside the club. In addition, I have to define areas of responsibility, and managing the academy budget also falls within my remit. It is important that I create good working conditions so that the professional side can perform efficiently."
