We celebrated the 116th anniversary of our club's foundation with an afternoon full of programmes at the Lipták Grund, then from 19:00 hosted Budafoki MTE at the Bozsik Aréna in our first home league match of the season, in Round 2 of NB II.
The net was already rippling in the sixth minute. Pinte's ball deflected off a Budafok leg to Zuigeber, whose shot hit the post and rebounded to Simon, but our young player scored from an offside position. In the 15th minute the visitors threatened for the first time, Jagodics's header clipping the post, but immediately afterwards we took the lead. After Pauljevic's pass, Pinte surprised Hársfalvi with a shot, and from the rebound Szamosi put the ball into the net (1–0). Our midfielder scored in his second league match of the season as well. In the 24th minute, after a cross from Hangya, Hársfalvi made a huge save with his foot to deny Simon from close range. Five minutes later we saw a beautiful move: after elegant interplay between Szamosi and Pekár, the latter's cross was handled by a Budafok player, resulting in a penalty. Dominik Csontos confidently fired the spot kick into the middle of the goal (2–0). In the final third of the half Tujvel produced a huge save to deny Dávid Kovács one-on-one, and once again we responded to an opposition chance with a goal. Zuigeber received a superb ball from Pinte and fired into the bottom far corner (3–0). Like Szamosi, Zuigeber had now scored in both league matches.
There were fewer chances in the second half. Pinte hit the post, Hársfalvi saved from Pauljevic, and Kesztyűs's goal was disallowed for handball, so the score remained unchanged.
Our victory also means that, for the first time since 1969, we won a league match on 3 August, the 116th anniversary of the club's foundation. The result took us to the top of the table in front of more than 5,000 spectators – since our relegation from NB I, excluding today's match, the largest attendance had been 3,709 against Kozármisleny two years ago.
Our league campaign continues with two away matches, at Szentlőrinc and Ajka.

Tamás Feczkó, head coach:
The players have worked hard to be able to produce matches like this. We wanted to decide the three points already in the first half. It was a very good, pulsating and action-packed match, but for that we also needed Budafok to commit to the game and play so well – they hit the post and had chances too. Congratulations to them for being able to produce that performance in this atmosphere and in front of so many spectators. We are happy with the three points, but it is frustrating that we could not score in the second half even though we had the opportunities to do so.
