Honvéd BKE played away in Kelenföld in Round 18 of the league. The coach did not have much difficulty choosing the line-up, as we arrived at the venue with only 12 players. Zana, Bárányos, Fritz, Csaba Tóth and Komora were all missing from the starting side, with Plókai replacing the latter in goal. Kelen SC played surprisingly good football despite their position in the table suggesting otherwise. Nevertheless, despite the difficulties, we played well and recorded a convincing victory.
We started superbly, with Youla giving us the lead as early as the 7th minute. Kispest's striker, chasing the top-scorer title, knocked the ball past his man near halfway, left the home defence behind like an express train and calmly fired into the far corner. Six minutes later Youla provided the assist for Kamber, then scored again before the break.
After the restart, our forward continued where he had left off. In the 46th minute he extended our lead to four, then shortly afterwards scored twice in the space of a single minute. Youla's goal show was interrupted by Bábik, who scored Kispest's seventh, but less than a minute later we were applauding another Youla goal. The hosts pulled one back in the 68th minute, but three minutes later substitute Andric scored our ninth. A minute later the home forward Márczy made it the final score.
With his six-goal performance, Youla moved to the top of the scoring chart. Our biggest rivals Ferencváros drew at home, so our advantage over the green-and-whites increased to ten points.
