We travelled to Szentlőrinc on Easter Sunday with three consecutive wins and the second-best spring record behind Kisvárda. However, the Baranya side was also in good form and still unbeaten in the spring half-season. Alongside the home supporters, a sizeable group of Honvéd fans once again travelled with the team.
Tamás Feczkó was unable to call on two key players, Dominik Csontos and Alex Szabó, due to suspension. The first big chance fell to us in the 7th minute, when our top scorer Zoltán Medgyes broke towards goal after a counterattack, but the home defence intervened at the last moment. Moments later 'Lőrinc also showed its presence, but Richárd Nagy’s long-range shot went wide. In the 23rd minute, after a cross from Hangya, Kántor could have scored with a header and then Bévárdi at the far post, but in the latter case Gyurján produced a huge save. A chance followed at the other end: Kristóf Tóth-Gábor missed badly in a one-on-one, and a minute and a half later he mishit the ball again before Kiss-Szemán also failed to find the target.
After the restart, the half again began with a Medgyes chance as he fired over following an attractive counterattack and solo run. In the 55th minute Szamosi noticed that Gyurján was standing somewhat off his line, but the goalkeeper tipped his attempt over the bar. Both coaches made changes, yet our dominance continued to increase. In the 69th minute Bévárdi broke down the right and looked for Kántor with the ball, but his waist-high cross missed his teammate.
Five minutes later it was different: Bévárdi delivered an excellent cross to Kántor, and our forward, in trademark acrobatic fashion, used the outside of his right foot to force the ball over the line in front of the Honvéd supporters. Referee Bana, however, saw handball and, to considerable surprise, disallowed the goal. Interestingly, this was already the third goal by our winter signing in Kispest colours to be ruled out for an infringement (offside, handball). Although we continued to pin our opponents back for the remaining minutes, no goal was scored, so we left Szentlőrinc with one point.

Tamás Feczkó: I cannot be satisfied with the draw. Everyone could see what happened around the seventieth minute. Unfortunately, the referee mistook my diving player’s leg for a handball, but this is not about one goal, it is about people’s livelihoods.
Róbert Waltner: – There was a real football atmosphere in Szentlőrinc today because the Honvéd supporters came as well. The visitors had one big chance at the start of the match, while we had three and also hit the post in the first half. In the first half of the game we were closer to victory; the second half belonged more to Honvéd.
