We played our fourth pre-season friendly on Wednesday morning at the Bozsik Arena. In terms of results, our team had built an impressive run after beating Kisvárda (2–1), Austrian side Sturm Graz II (2–1) and Slovenian top-flight team Lendva (3–0). Mauricio Jacobacci again sent the team out with a back four, although Baki Ákos was still unavailable. Recently signed forward Adi Alic was not yet named in the squad, while Kállai Kevin was given the planned opportunity in place of Ujváry Ferenc.
In the second minute Lukács Leon met a cross from the right first time, but fired into Tujvel's hands. In the eighth minute Zuigeber tried his luck, but his shot went over the bar. Lukács Leon found himself in another dangerous position in the 17th minute, with Tujvel producing a superb save. In the 22nd minute we broke through down the opposition's right when Medgyes worked his way past the defenders before finishing excellently into the bottom-left corner (1–0). In the second half both teams mostly created smaller openings. In the 61st minute we made our now customary wholesale changes, with Tujvel the only player remaining from the starting eleven. We controlled the match and moved the ball patiently until the 70th minute, when Somogyi Tamás collected a loose ball and suddenly went for the top-left corner, missing only narrowly. In the 81st minute, after a fine build-up involving Csonka, Somogyi and then Pekár, the latter released the lightning-quick Pinte with perfect timing. He could only poke the ball towards goal, but it rebounded off Jova back to our forward, who easily tapped into the empty net. A few minutes later Kállai aimed for the bottom-right corner from a tight angle, but the ball went wide of the right post.
We continue on Saturday at 17:00 away to Monor SE, before visiting Osijek on July 18 from 19:00.
