The Hungary U21 national team’s next gathering will take place from 31 August to 2 September 2026, with a training camp in Telki. Alongside players born in 2004 and 2005, the squad also includes several from the 2006 age group. Hungary U21 have three competitive fixtures coming up in the autumn European Championship qualifiers, when they will face Croatia, Lithuania and Turkey.
Our club will be represented at the three-day gathering by 18-year-old midfielder Ádám Somogyi. Ádám was first called up to a Hungarian youth national team at U16 level and was subsequently selected for the U17s and U18s before becoming a regular in the U19 squad.
Our player has made an excellent start to the season, having started all four of our league matches so far. During that time, he made his top-flight debut and then scored his first NB I goal, so it is hardly surprising that he has also attracted the attention of the older age group.
