The 20-year-old winger, a multiple youth international, is our club's sixth winter signing.

Dominik Földi was born in Budapest on 27 June 2004. He started playing football at Ferencváros, but it was Vasas – who signed him from the green-and-whites in the summer of 2019 – that gave him his first professional contract. In August 2021 he continued his career with Alavés U19, who play in La Liga's youth structure, before moving from the Basque Country to UD La Cruz and then, apart from a short loan spell in Szeged, playing for Paks. In August 2023 he made his NB I debut for the Tolna county side, against his boyhood club Ferencváros, while this season he has made two appearances in the top flight (against Győr and MTK). Földi has previously played for Hungary at U15, U16, U17 and U19 level. He is an explosive player who can be used in several positions and is comfortable on both sides of defence and attack.

„I am very happy and grateful to be here. I trust that I can be a great help to the team with my play and that we will achieve the goals we have set. My experiences so far have been very positive, the lads have been very welcoming. I already knew Noel Keresztes and István Pekár from the youth national teams, and I still have a very good relationship with them today” – Földi began, before also saying a few words about the background to the transfer.

„One of the most important factors in my choice was that Honvéd is a club with a great history. I pay a lot of attention to recovery after training sessions and matches, so it was important for me to join a club with an atmosphere and infrastructure where everything is in place for development. At the same time, the fan base was also an important consideration in my decision because I like playing football in front of a lot of people. As a child I always liked to play on the side where the parents stood because, whether the reaction was good or bad, I liked it. Few clubs in Hungary have such a prestigious fan base, but that also comes with great responsibility” – the 20-year-old winger told the club's website.

After Patrik Pinte, Ákos Baki, Dominik Csontos, Bonifác Csonka and Gergő Rácz, Földi is our club's sixth winter signing. At the same time as his arrival, Márk Gyetván is leaving Honvéd. The 20-year-old goalkeeper joined our club in the 2020-21 season, progressed through the age-group ranks and made his NB II debut in May 2024. This season he kept goal for our team in the first five league matches.

We wish Márk every success in the rest of his career!
