We are delighted to announce that we have signed Ádám Gyurcsó on a two-year contract. The 34-year-old forward had played abroad since 2016, apart from one season in Felcsút, when he finished as the Hungarian Cup's top scorer. He represented Videoton between 2008 and 2015 and won the league title twice with the Székesfehérvár side, in 2010/11 and 2014/15. In winter 2016 he moved to Poland to join Pogoń Szczecin, where he recorded 15 goals and 20 assists in 74 competitive matches.
After Poland, Hajduk Split signed him. He won a bronze medal with the Croatian club and finished fourth in his second season, contributing 14 goals and 20 assists in 66 league matches. He then played in Felcsút and Osijek, winning a Croatian league silver medal with the latter. Ádám spent the past four years in Cyprus, representing AEK Larnaca for three seasons and Anorthosis Famagusta for one.
“I joined the club with positive feelings. Based on its performance in the second half of last season, it is clearly moving in an upward direction. Honvéd and I have similar ambitions, and that can be a good combination for success. I would like to repay the trust with goals and assists. I have never had the chance to play in this beautiful stadium before, and I am sure it will be a huge experience. I can hardly wait to prove myself in front of as many supporters as possible. They are essential if the club is to become successful again.” – Ádám told the club's official website after signing.
