We had never previously lost a league match in Gyirmót, although Zsolt Tamási's side were still unbeaten at the Alcufer Stadium this season. Unfortunately, the latter run continued while the former came to an end. Sixteen-year-old Ádám Somogyi was included in the first-team squad for the first time. Attila Lőrinczy, returning to the starting XI, justified his selection almost immediately with a thunderous effort from a good thirty metres. The Gyirmót goalkeeper got a hand to it, but the ball came down off the crossbar to Balázs Farkas, who knocked it into the net with his right foot. Farkas had now scored his third Kispest goal in only his fourth competitive match.

A few minutes after conceding, we needed a brilliant save from Gellért Dúzs. Adamcsek found Madarász from the right, but our goalkeeper kept out his left-footed shot. During the first half of the opening period we mainly built attacks down the left, with Szilveszter Hangya playing an important role. In the 21st minute our defender won the ball in front of his own goal, carried it with a long sprint into the opposition's attacking third and then brought Farkas into play. Farkas beat his man, but his shot could not get through the Gyirmót defensive wall. In the 30th minute another fine save was required, this time from the home goalkeeper, as Lőrinczy's cross from the right was headed goalwards by Hangya from around the penalty spot, but Hársfalvi pushed it behind for a corner. Ten minutes before the break Dúzs had to stay alert when Madarász tried a free-kick from near the touchline, a good thirty metres from goal, but our goalkeeper tipped the ball over. Zsolt Tamási was without his top scorer Roland Ugrai and then lost Máté Adamcsek during the first half, but his replacement Oleksandr Pyschur threatened late in the period with a header from a few metres towards the bottom left, only for Dúzs to save again.

As well as the first half had started, the second began just as badly. Less than two minutes had passed when it was already 1-1: Csörgő delivered the ball onto the head of Dávid Hudák arriving at the far post, and he nodded it in from four metres.

In the 59th minute the home side lost the ball in their own half, allowing Balázs Farkas to try his luck from more than 20 metres, but his effort went wide of the right post. Two minutes later our goal was under threat, although Lányi's volley missed the target. Unfortunately, in the 67th minute there was no stopping the hosts. After a set piece from the right Hudák headed the ball into the middle, it fell to Pyschur, whose first effort we managed to block, but while falling he smashed the rebound unstoppably into the top right corner.

Zsolt Laczkó responded to going behind with two substitutions, sending on Dávid Holman and Benedek Simon, and three minutes later Noel Keresztes also joined the action. The home side dominated the remaining period, Rajmund Horváth threatened our goal with an acrobatic effort, and in the 83rd minute Gyirmót were given the chance to seal the match. Two substitutes, Vince Szegi and Benedek Simon, combined to produce the penalty when the latter kicked Szegi's leg, and Attila Molnár pointed to the spot. Madarász calmly converted down the middle. After the goal our only opportunity was to pull one back, but Hársfalvi pushed away Holman's weak effort. There were no further goals, so we left Gyirmót with a 3-1 defeat.

Our team next plays after the international break, hosting Szentlőrinc SE at the Bozsik Arena on Monday, October 21 from 20:00.
