Current league position: 16th
Most recent league match: Szeged-Csanád GA (0–0)

— Our opponents were founded in 1923 under the name Ajkai Sportegyesület (ASE). Between 1949 and 1957, Ajka could not escape the centrally directed wave of name changes either. The team’s name changed almost every year. First they played as Ajkai Dolgozók SE, then Ajkai Vasas, Ajkai Szikra and Ajkai Sportegyesület. In 1968 they became Ajkai Alumínium SK. The club has used its current name, FC Ajka, since 2001.
— The visitors’ squad includes five players who once spent time in Kispest. Gergely Bobál, Nikolasz Kovács, Gyula Csemer, Nikola Pantovic and Mihály Krisztián Nagy came through the Magyar Futball Akadémia. In addition, Tibor Heffler and Dávid Stoiacovici also moved to the green-and-whites from Kispest. Ajka head coach Szabolcs Schindler is also familiar to our supporters. He played for Bp. Honvéd between 2006 and 2008 and won the cup with Kispest in 2007.
HISTORY
— We have played 8 competitive matches against FC Ajka so far. From Budapest Honvéd’s perspective the record is: 3 wins, 1 draw, 4 defeats, 13 goals scored and 16 conceded.
NB II:
There have been six meetings in the second tier so far. Between 2009 and 2011, our rivals fielded their first team in the league, while Budapest Honvéd entered its second team. In the 2023/2024 season both clubs fielded their strongest sides. In the autumn meeting at the Bozsik Arena we won 1–0 through a goal by Gergely Bobál, who now plays for Ajka. In the spring return fixture in Ajka, goals from Zalán Kerezsi and Ábel Krajcsovics gave us a 2–0 victory.
