Head coach Viktor Petrók:
There was a lot at stake in today’s match and we wanted the win too much, which made our play disjointed in places. It was a balanced championship in terms of results, but even more importantly, during our difficult spells and challenges we consistently stuck to the style of play we want to represent, and that was also rewarded with results. The key to success was that the boys believed in the work they had done. I think we deserved to finish top of the table.
Our U15 side earned a goalless draw in Felcsút, meaning they ultimately finished four points off the podium in 5th place.
PAFC U15–Budapest Honvéd FC U15 0–0
Our U14s travelled to Kisvárda with essentially no major stakes left, where they suffered a comfortable defeat. In the final round we host PAFC, who are fighting for second place.
Várda Labdarúgó Akadémia–Budapest Honvéd FC U14 3–0
G: Csernovaljuk (32.), Simkiv (49.), D. Takács (59.).
Head coach Tamás Szamosi:
The match was won by the team that wanted victory more. My players could take an example from the Kisvárda players, who went about their work without compromise. To be fair, while we continue to waste the clear chances that come our way, our opponents scored two demoralising goals after which we were unable to stabilise our game.
