Although our team has played only three matches since the start of the spring season, Ákos Baki scored his second goal in the Hungarian Cup tie against ESMTK. Our defender came on as a substitute after the break and, 13 minutes later, headed Patrik Pinte’s cross into the net of the Pesterzsébet side. Our player has scored five goals in all competitions in the 2025–26 season.
“You could feel from both outside and inside that it was a difficult match. That is the magic of the cup: even if you are playing a lower-division opponent who probably does not come into the game as favourite... Maybe these are the hardest matches. The goal was to progress, and we managed it” – our player said after the match, adding that Patrik Pinte’s individual piece of brilliance played a major part in his goal.
On Sunday we continue our league campaign, facing Szentlőrinc in the 18th round of the Merkantil Bank Liga, before hosting Ajka at the Bozsik Aréna a week later.
“They will definitely be difficult matches, because we also had tough games against them in the autumn. At home, the goal can be nothing other than three points in both fixtures. We are counting on our supporters; we want to dominate and win at home.”
