The opening round of the 2026/27 NB I season began on Friday and finished on Monday. Our team started with a 1–1 draw at Kisvárda, where Ákos Baki scored our goal in the 88th minute. Our defensive leader's goal and performance also earned him a place in M4 Sport's Team of the Week.
"We were dominant in the second half too. We had two brief lapses, and Kisvárda punished us after one moment of inattention. I can even say we needed that goal against us, because after it we pinned Kisvárda back in front of their goal. If our equaliser had come a little earlier, we might even have won." – our defender said after the match.
