We regret to inform our supporters that Ádám Somogyi suffered a fractured fibula during a training session with the Hungary U21 national team as they prepare for the European Championship qualifiers.
According to initial assessments, Ádám faces at least three months on the sidelines, though a full recovery may take longer.
The injury is particularly painful for us, as Ádám started all seven league matches so far this season and played a significant percentage of the available minutes. He has recorded one goal and one assist this campaign, and his performances were recently recognized by our club's board, who voted him Player of the Month for August.
We trust that Ádám will return to action as soon as possible, and if his recovery progresses according to plan, he can rejoin the squad for the January training camp; the club will provide him with every support throughout his rehabilitation. The Hungary U21 national team will face Croatia, Lithuania, and Turkey in their upcoming European Championship qualifiers.
We wish you a speedy recovery, Ádám!
