An important match awaited us in Round 10 of the OTP Bank Liga, as we visited Nyíregyháza Spartacus, who sat just one point ahead of us in the table. Head coach Maurizio Jacobacci had limited options, being unable to count on key regular Dominik Csontos due to illness, as well as Ádám Somogyi, who suffered a serious injury during the international break. However, Pablo García made his first start in the lineup, while the back four remained unchanged from the clash against Újpest. Alongside the Spanish winger, Patrik Pinte and Ákos Baki also started against their former club, which was not the case on the other side for Barna Benczenleitner, as Tamás Bódog also made two adjustments compared to the previous week. The hosts' head coach chose Sandro Ingolitsch and Nemanja Antonov instead of our former player and Zsombor Hős. In the 2nd minute, Pinte battled hard for the ball, knocked it forward with his head and struck, but the effort ended up comfortably in Dala's hands. Early in the 4th minute, following a cross from the left wing, Kvasina managed a header, which Hadzikic gathered securely. In the 28th minute, the tempo picked up: after a brilliant cross-field ball from Safronov, García delivered into the middle without finding a teammate, but Pinte retrieved it on the far side; his delivery was headed out by the home defenders without fully clearing the danger. At the end of the move, Hangya unleashed a shot that flew just wide of the left post. After half an hour of play, Nyíregyháza came to life: following an attractive combination, Milán Kovács aimed for the top-left corner, prompting a fantastic reflex save from Hadzikic. After the break, clear-cut chances were scarce at both ends for a long spell, with errors continually creeping into the final passes, while Hadzikic calmly dealt with the only shot on target. Past the hour mark, both managers freshened up their sides, with Maurizio Jacobacci introducing Ádám Gyurcsó and Kevin Kántor, which paid off in the 75th minute: Szamosi won a duel, then Somogyi timed a superb pass into the path of Gyurcsó, who burst down the left flank like a freight train. Our experienced winger left his marker behind and delivered an inch-perfect pass across the face of goal to the arriving Kántor, who made no mistake and tapped in from close range (0–1). Along with two prior assists, our 26-year-old forward scored his first-ever NB I goal. In the 85th minute, our team launched another fine attack: after Somogyi's pass, Marí fired on goal, but Dala managed to parry the ball away. In the closing stages, Alic could have doubled our lead, but was tackled at the very last moment, and then Pauljevic was brought down while in a scoring position, though a red card was not shown. The victory, however, was sealed; we kept our second clean sheet of the season—and on both occasions, we celebrated all three points. With this win, we climbed three places in the standings.
Next Saturday, once again at 14:30, we will host Debreceni VSC at the Bozsik Aréna in front of spectators.

Maurizio Jacobacci:
It was a very tough and demanding match for both teams. We earned an important victory. We expected a very physical encounter, and we had to approach the game accordingly. The first half was a physical and tactical battle with hardly any major incidents. We went into the second half determined to exploit the spaces whenever they appeared. There was a moment when Gyurcsó broke away on the left, and that led to our goal. Two substitutes combined to create it. They made the difference. I have emphasized many times that our bench can decide games, and that proved true today. We managed to defeat a solid team. We must admit that their long balls caused us difficulties at times. However, our team demonstrated strong character. Keeping a clean sheet was very important, and I am extremely happy that we are leaving Nyíregyháza with all three points.
Tamás Bódog:
We didn't play well, but we were the better side and expected more from this match. I cannot say a single bad word about my players. Today, we lacked decisiveness in front of goal, which has unfortunately been a recurring theme throughout the season. We are at the bottom of the table, but we will keep working! We must gather all our strength, because we can only climb out of this situation together.
