Honvéd BKE fielded a depleted side in the away match against Monor. With Komora absent, Plókai started in goal, while Lannert, Erdei and Andric were also unavailable. The hosts approached the match with great determination and even assigned a dedicated marker to the always-dangerous Youla. Monor tried to unsettle the Kispest side with hard play that at times bordered on unsporting. The first chance fell to Bárányos, but Monor took the lead in the 13th minute: the Honvéd goalkeeper's poor clearance was gratefully seized on by Bokros, who fired into the net (1–0). Kispest equalised late in the half: Youla stole the ball from the home goalkeeper, who illegally brought down the forward as he headed towards goal – the goalkeeper was shown a red card and Bábik confidently converted the resulting penalty (1–1).
After the break Honvéd BKE improved, and substitute Lukács immediately put the team in front (1–2). In the 53rd minute, however, there was another twist: Lukács was caught by a rough tackle from behind, jumped up and pushed his opponent – the referee booked Bokros and sent Lukács off.
Even with ten men, Kispest played in an organised manner and protected their lead for a long time, but Monor equalised right at the end. They scored in the final moment, leaving no time even for the restart.
The draw can be considered fair, as Monor proved to be a tough, strong team. Among the rivals MTK also drew, while Ferencváros won, making the leading group even tighter. Honvéd BKE remain top with 20 points, one ahead of MTK and two ahead of Ferencváros and Pénzügyőr.
