As is known, our women's team will play five friendlies before the league campaign begins. Dörnyei Balázs's side first defeated Astra HFC and then Topolya during the summer preparation period, while Czech top-flight side FC Slovácko will visit Kispest on Saturday.
The league starts on August 8, with our women's team visiting MTK Budapest in the opening round. The final league round of the calendar year will be played on the weekend of November 14–15, after which the competition will resume at the end of February following a longer break.
According to information from the federation, Viktória FC, who finished 10th last season, will not be part of the Simple Women's League field after the club's management indicated that they were forced to withdraw from the championship. Although Dunaújváros, runners-up in the NB II Western Group, were invited to take a place in the top flight, they declined, so the right to participate was awarded to Szekszárdi WFC.
