Árpád Kovács's assessment:
“It was the children's first tournament abroad, but you could not see that for a single second. They won nine of eleven matches, and there was only one game in which the opponent was clearly superior. There they were a little intimidated even before the match because they had built the opponent up too much in their minds, and that showed. In every other match, however, they applied our principles in all four phases of the game. What is particularly worth highlighting is that a different player stepped up and delivered an outstanding performance in every match.”
Our U10s competed in Slovakia and, although their tournament was less successful in terms of results, in some games only fine margins decided the outcome in favour of the opposition.

Attila Sánta's assessment:
“Overall, we were unable to reach the level we want to represent, and luck was often not on our side either. Even so, we played some very useful matches in which the importance of mental strength was once again made clear to us.”
Our U11 age group also travelled to Trnava in Slovakia for an international tournament, where they faced several Slovak teams as well as Austria Wien and Győr, among others. Szabolcs Földi's players eventually finished with five wins, one draw and one defeat.

Szabolcs Földi's assessment:
“We had barely started training and already had the opportunity to play some excellent matches at a high-quality tournament in Trnava. Our squad was already smaller because of illness and, unfortunately, the cold, windy and at times snowy weather at the venue reduced our numbers further, but we were able to play every match – and in impressive fashion. The team was extremely energetic, we came out on top in many duels and in several cases controlled the rhythm of the game very well. We performed excellently both individually and as a team, and I can say on behalf of the coaching staff that we are very proud of the children. The parents also accompanied us on the trip and we would like to thank them very much for their sporting support and care! Finally, we wish all our ill or injured players a speedy recovery and look forward to having them back with the team again! Come on Honvéd! Only Kispest!”
