Three of our youth teams were in action at the weekend, while our U17 side, sitting an impressive second in the league, and our third-placed U16 team did not play this time. Our U19s played an brought-forward fixture against Videoton at the Academy, but on this occasion they were unable to pick up any points. The Székesfehérvár side therefore await the continuation in third place, while our team are two points behind MTK Budapest, who have a game in hand.

Márton Bogdánfi, head coach:
First of all, I would like to congratulate Fehérvár. We played against a very enthusiastic, motivated and organised team. In the first half we produced our weakest performance of the season; nothing we had planned worked. We managed to change the rhythm in the second half, but this was only partly reflected in the quality of our chances; it is difficult to win a match without a shot on target. The boys perform above expectations week after week and produce excellent performances across several age groups, so it is no surprise that, at team level, a weaker-than-usual display can occasionally happen.
The U15s travelled to Újpest in excellent form, having lost only one of their previous six league matches against four wins, but in their final autumn fixture they had to settle for offering their sporting congratulations to the opposition.
UTE U15–Budapest Honvéd FC U15 3–1 (2–0)
Honvéd: Szabó A. – Török, Nyiri, Palásti, Pisont, (Balázs P., 67.), Szijjártó, Józsa, Menyhárt, Varga B., Gerebenes (Magyar, 60.), Malomsoki.
G: Dóczi (37.), Fodor (40.), Miklósvári (52.), while Malomsoki (67. – penalty).
Tamás Szamosi, head coach:
In the 2nd minute of the first half we missed a huge chance, and that visibly affected what followed. After that, play was mostly concentrated in midfield and it did not seem as though Újpest would be able to make the breakthrough. Despite that, the home side took the lead from a loose ball, followed by another avoidable goal. Although the Újpest player struck the ball superbly, the goal essentially came from a serious defensive error. Another individual mistake in the second half made our situation even more difficult. We threw everything forward in an effort to get back into the match, but we were unable to convert the chances we created. Malomsoki’s converted penalty allowed us to pull one back, but overall Újpest deservedly kept all three points at home.
Our U14s travelled to Győr, where they eventually came out on the losing side of a six-goal match. Our team still have three league fixtures to play: against DVTK, Vasas and PAFC in succession.
ETO Academy U14–Budapest Honvéd FC U14 4–2 (1–1)

Gergely Fűzfa, head coach:
We did not start the match in the way we had agreed beforehand; at that stage our opponents were better both in possession and out of possession. In the second half of the first period, our improved play without the ball enabled us to create several chances, and we deservedly equalised. Unfortunately, we began the second half by conceding a goal, which gave Győr space for counter-attacks. Our second goal made the match open again, but after a well-executed counter-attack our opponents decided the contest. Even so, we cannot be dissatisfied, because compared with our recent matches we scored more goals and managed to create more chances. Ours is a long journey; we know where we want to get to, and this match also served the boys’ development extremely well!
