We recorded a 5–1 victory away to Kelen SC in the third round of the MOL Hungarian Cup. After the match, our head coach Laczkó Zsolt assessed the performance as follows.
“In the first forty minutes the players performed with maximum concentration and discipline and played inventive football. We did not leave the opposition any space. We pressed them very close to their goal, won the ball from that and played well and quickly. It was not easy to play football on this pitch, but overall I would say the first half was very good. There were changes and substitutions in the second half, but towards the end of the period we were again able to raise the tempo. And it should be added that it is not so easy to play in exactly the same way at 4–1 as when the score is close. The players did everything; that was the objective, and now we await our next opponent – said our head coach, who also noted that several players had played their first match and/or scored their first goal for Honvéd. – This is very important for an individual player. If someone gets on the scoresheet, it is no accident that he scores; I am thinking, for example, of Farkas Balázs, though I could mention the others too, since Ihrig-Farkas also scored his first goal. Unfortunately he felt a little pain in his thigh, which is why he had to come off. But I was satisfied not only with the players scoring their first goals and those making their debuts, but with everyone.“
