As is known, our team won 2–0 away to Csákvár in Round 20 of the Merkantil Bank Liga. We had to wait only 10 minutes for the opening goal, when Ákos Zuigeber took advantage of an opposition mistake and found the net. It was our forward's ninth goal of the 2025-26 season in all competitions. After the break, Ádám Nyers also got his name on the scoresheet. This round will remain memorable for our academy graduate, as it was his first goal for the first team.
“I am very happy because the boys approached the match extremely well; you could already see it in the warm-up, everyone took it very seriously. Our aim was to decide the match as early as possible. I am proud that we beat a team that wants to play football and fights until the very last second. I am happy that so many people came out and supported us. It fills me with pride that every one of my players got an opportunity, because some had received less playing time recently. Today we proved again that we are a real TEAM in capital letters” – Tamás Feczkó said after the final whistle, before also speaking about the performance of our 18-year-old player.
“He works very honestly and very well in every training session. You can see that he can become a serious player if this work ethic and diligence remain, and I do not think there will be any problem with that. He has the ability, and he genuinely strives for the maximum in every session. For me, it was not primarily the goal but his overall performance that I really liked; the goal was just the icing on the cake.”
Our team picked up more important points and moved closer to our stated objectives thanks to the victory. In Round 20, second-placed Vasas drew 0–0 at Tiszakécske, so we increased our advantage over the Angyalföld side to five points. Before the next league round, however, a decisive match awaits: on Thursday we host DVTK at Bozsik Aréna in the Hungarian Cup quarter-final.
“At home, in front of our supporters, we want to pull off something special, because we are facing an NB I team. Against Debrecen we already proved that we have a realistic chance of beating NB I sides as well. I very much hope we will succeed again and can celebrate together once more.”
