Tamás Szamosi's assessment: „In the friendly against our partner club, we were able to practise the things we place a strong emphasis on in training. We played well and with discipline throughout the entire match, and the result reflected that!”
U14 Rapid Wien U14–Budapest Honvéd FC U14 4-0 (0-0)
Friendly match
Tamás Szamosi's assessment: „The first half was evenly balanced, with few opportunities for either team. Shortly before half-time we had the biggest chance of the half, but unfortunately the goal did not come. Early in the second half the home side took the lead after a deflected shot. I then tried to freshen up my team with substitutions, but instead of gaining momentum we dropped off, and as a result the hosts deservedly won the match.”
Slovakia U16 national team–Budapest Honvéd FC U17 2–0 (0-0)
Friendly match
Márton Bogdánfi's assessment: „We played an extremely useful and high-quality match. Our squad was somewhat depleted, but we were able to play an even game throughout. In the first half we managed to create several chances after our quick transitions, but our finishing was poor, so it did not show in goals. We tired a little physically in the second half, but even then we had opportunities to score. In the final twenty minutes we made two individual mistakes, which the opposition exploited well.”
Rapid Wien U18–Budapest Honvéd FC U19 0–2 (0-0)
Friendly match
Our scorers: Zoltán Alarishi, György Botos
László Takács's assessment: „We started the match well; in the first ten minutes, after finding the centre-forward, we managed several times to break down the opposition's defence on the wings. After that Rapid took control of the match. The defending of our first five players was not compact enough, they were able to move us around with rotations and created one or two opportunities from that. When we won the ball, we managed to get up to the opposition goal and finish attacks with shots. In the first half, however, we only hit the post. In the second half our team defending became more stable, they could not break us down, and we won the ball in good areas, which led to our first goal, while apart from that we also created further chances from these situations. We had less of the ball, but still reached the home side's goal on many occasions. Overall, we played a very useful match against a strong opponent. The players pushed their limits and the game served their development well.”
