Head coach Richárd Takács:
“On Saturday we played two extremely intense and high-quality matches against Czech side Zbrojovka Brno and Serbia's Crvena Zvezda. In both games we had to play under heavy pressure, but the children took the field with the right confidence and were able to match the pace from the start. Against Brno we managed to dominate for much of the game, especially in the first half when we imposed our will on the opposition. When we were pushed back in front of our own goal, we defended with discipline. Zvezda represented an even higher level, but despite that we started well, played out bravely from the back and produced several good solutions in midfield. As the match progressed the Serbian side increasingly took control, while in the second half our focus shifted to defending and transitions after winning the ball, from which we also created dangerous chances. Overall both matches contributed greatly to the children's development, as we rarely encounter games of this intensity.”

Head coach Szabolcs Földi:
“Our proactive style of play was clearly visible in both possession and ball-winning throughout the matches. Our counter-pressing after losing the ball and our recovery shape behind the ball generally worked well; when it did not, the opposition punished us ruthlessly. We need to improve the efficiency of our finishing, but overall we played excellent matches and can be proud of the children.”

The elements practised in training appeared more and more often in matches as well. It is especially pleasing that the tournament's best outfield player came from our team: Luka Lovric!”
