Honvéd BKE played away in Biatorbágy in Matchday 11. The line-up changed in two positions compared with previous matches. In Komora's absence, the team's utility player Attila Plókai went in goal, while Bálint Lukács replaced Zsolt Lázár.
The goalkeeper position was not unfamiliar to Attila Plókai, as the wholehearted defender had stood on the goal line before. The emergency goalkeeper did not disappoint and kept a clean sheet.
We started the match with our usual mentality, but this time our play was not as fluid as in previous games. We had to wait relatively long, 34 minutes, for the first Kispest goal, when Rajz finally broke the home side's resistance. One minute before the break, Csaba Tóth scored our second. At the start of the second half we found the hosts' net twice in two minutes, first through Rajz and then Youla, who beat the Viadukt defence. In the 78th minute Youla scored his second goal. Five minutes later Csaba Tóth set the final score.
Honvéd BKE earned a deserved victory. In the big match of the round MTK beat Ferencváros 3-1, so Kispest's win meant our team moved six points clear at the top of the table. Honvéd BKE's performance deserves every praise. The red-and-blacks won every match of the season. Alongside 60 goals scored, they conceded only four.
After the match, Attila Plókai summed up what he had seen: “We made more mistakes than usual, but despite that we scored some fine goals and recorded a convincing victory.”
To the reporter's mock-naive question about what the team's plan is for the future?
“To keep the winning run going so that we finally reach the top step of the podium, because we have been chasing that blasted first place for years,” he said with a smile.
