On Sunday, substitute Ádám Gyurcsó's goal once again helped us keep all three points at home. Our forward scored in the 86th minute of the league match against Ajka after Kevin Varga's pass, finding the visitors' net. His match-winning goal extended our unbeaten league run to nine matches. It was the 34-year-old player's second goal in Honvéd colours.
“Of course I am happy about it; it would have been better if it had happened much earlier. It is an extra joy for me that we were able to win with my goal. But in truth it does not matter who scores; I am just as much a member of the team as everyone else. The most important thing is that we won the match” – he said after the final whistle, before continuing:
“We could have scored earlier as well. Watching from the outside, I think we were much better. Of course the opposition had chances too, because you cannot play a match without the opponent creating anything. We proved again that we fight until the final second.”
On Saturday our team continue their campaign away to fifth-placed Csákvár in Round 20 of the Merkantil Bank Liga. We last played them last summer in Round 5, when Tamás Feczkó's side won 3–1. As for the past, the two clubs have met five times so far, with our record standing at two wins, two defeats and one draw.
“We have to go onto the pitch knowing that we are Honvéd and that we need to control the match. It is important to take our chances as early as possible; that is still something we are struggling with a little, but we are going to Csákvár for all three points.”
