As we reported earlier, seven players represent our club in the U17 national team's friendlies. Following Tuesday's 3–2 win, three of our players were in the starting line-up this time: Áron Russnák, Tamás Somogyi and Martin Bogdán, while Zalán Varga came on as a substitute in the 76th minute. The national team's goal was defended by our academy graduate Mátyás Jakab, who currently plays for Juventus.
Hungary took an early lead, but Uzbekistan turned the game around in a short spell in the second half and won 2–1.
The U17 national team will take part in a European Championship qualifying tournament between October 8 and 14, facing hosts North Macedonia as well as Gibraltar and the Czech Republic.
