Our U19s and U17s did not play in the league at the weekend, with both age groups involved in international matches – and in both cases there were Kispest supporting roles and leading roles. Our U19s, currently second in the league, travel to Szombathely to face Illés Akadémia on October 17 from 13:00, while our U17s play away in Felcsút a day later from 10:00. Our U16s ultimately did not play at the weekend; our match in Debrecen will be made up on October 25.
Our U15s, however, are in excellent form. After recording their first win last week, they collected another three points, this time coming out on top in Kisvárda and extending their unbeaten run to three matches. On Saturday, October 18, though, continuing that run will not be easy, as leaders MTK Budapest visit the Academy.

Tamás Szamosi, head coach:
Until the middle of the first half we played very poorly and without energy. The home side won a lot of corners and took the lead from one of them. A little later, following a set piece, Varga scored a fine header to equalise. In the second half our will prevailed. We controlled almost the entire match; Malomsoki turned beautifully inside the penalty area and fired into the far corner. After a counter-attack Péter Balázs could only be stopped illegally, the referee awarded a penalty, and Malomsoki scored another goal from the spot! We are very happy with this success!
Our U14s also collected all three points, which allowed them to move ahead of their Szombathely rivals despite having played fewer matches. Gergely Fűzfa’s side are fourth in the table with 12 points, and a genuine top-of-the-table clash awaits next week as they travel to leaders Ferencváros.

Gergely Fűzfa, head coach:
Conceding an early goal did not knock the boys out of their stride. We responded superbly, immediately taking the initiative and playing bravely in both attack and defence. As a result, we were able to turn the match around already in the first half. Hats off to the lads because they were brave, deliberate and creative both defensively and offensively. Most important for us is that they are trying to incorporate the elements practised in training. They may not always work at one hundred percent, but the intention is what matters most. Of course we want to improve in every area of the game, but as long as the boys have this desire and intent, all we can do is congratulate them!
