As is known, we have won each of our first three matches of the summer pre-season, beating Kisvárda and then Sturm Graz II 2–1 before recording a 3–0 victory away to Nafta Lendava on Saturday.
On Wednesday we host NB II side Soroksár at the Bozsik Arena, an opponent we have met quite frequently in recent years, having played six league matches and eight friendlies against them since summer 2023. The friendly three years ago was won 1–0 by the visitors (interestingly, that game was also played at the Bozsik Arena), while in the six league matches that followed our record was three wins, two draws and one defeat. Last season we won 1–0 thanks to a last-minute volley from Csontos Dominik, while at the end of April the sides drew 0–0 in Kispest. Two of those home games were particularly memorable: in March 2025, Kántor Kevin's bicycle-kick goal gave us a 3–2 win at the end of a thrilling contest, while a year earlier we produced an excellent performance to win 4–1.
We last faced Gábor Korolovszky's side in a friendly just over half a year ago, on January 10: Soroksár led at the break through Gálfi, but two goals from Földi Dominik in the second half earned us a 2–1 win. Neither of those scorers will find the net on Wednesday: Soroksár's Gálfi has moved to Diósgyőr, while Földi Dominik left our club after his contract expired.
Budapest Honvéd FC - Soroksár SC 2-1, Friendly match
For fans of numerology, Soroksár finished 13th last season, securing a thirteenth consecutive season in the second tier. Bagi Ádám and Korozmán Kevin were their leading scorers with six goals each, although the latter retired at the end of the season. The Budapest side have so far faced two NB II teams during the summer, beating Kecskemét 2–1 before drawing 1–1 with Karcag. Their squad includes several former Honvéd academy players in Köböl Krisztián, Bora György and Bogdán Bence, while Csontos Dominik has previously played for Soroksár.
