Our U19 side continues to march on in the league, this time overcoming ETO. Márton Bogdánfi’s team is the only unbeaten side in the field, and its 21–3 goal difference also deserves recognition. Although only seven rounds have been played in the 2025–26 campaign, it increasingly looks as though the title could be decided between two teams: we have collected 19 points, while MTK Budapest have 18. On November 8, next Saturday at 10:00, the league’s best defence (Budapest Honvéd) will face its best attack (MTK Budapest), a match that could also prove important in the final reckoning.

Márton Bogdánfi, head coach:
We played a very good team who are tactically and technically well trained and play attractive football. The first 20 minutes were a major tactical battle and the game was evenly balanced. We took the lead from a throw-in variation, which was positive because we had practised it in Friday’s training session. Our pressing worked well, we were aggressive and won a lot of balls in the attacking third. After the second goal we handed over the initiative and defended in an organised manner. Our counter-attacks were dangerous after winning possession. The opening period of the second half was not good from our point of view; we allowed the opposition to push us back and defended deep, but fortunately the substitutions refreshed our game. In the period that followed we were able to keep the ball more and created big chances on the counter, which allowed us to extend our lead. Overall, I am proud of the lads because they followed every tactical instruction and played maturely and with discipline throughout, which is important looking ahead. I would also like to congratulate Győr and wish them every success!
Only one point separated our team from Illés before the round, and for a long time it looked as though the two sides would even swap places in the table after Róka gave the Szombathely team the lead. Then the opposition collapsed in the space of four minutes and all three points ultimately stayed at the Academy. Our champions therefore remain second and continue to keep pace with leaders Ferencváros. On November 8 we travel to Zalaegerszeg.

Viktor Petrók, head coach:
Throughout the match we played tensely and made many technical and basic-principle errors, so we could only show our playing style in short spells. Even so, there were several periods and opportunities in the match when one goal could have taken us past the deadlock, but first we waited until the opposition took the lead, and then, following the principle of "better late than never!", we waited until the final minute of the match and then stoppage time! Huge congratulations to the lads for that!
Our U16s had the postponed match from the seventh round to play in Debrecen. István Körtvélyesi’s side overpowered the hosts in the second half and also moved ahead of Debrecen in the standings. A group of four has formed at the top of the league, with the first three teams level on points. Győr currently lead, we are second, Várda are third, and PAFC trail the trio by one point. On November 8 the boys visit Vasas.

Honvéd: Czinki – Marinyák, Érsek, Kralicsek, Solymos, Hegyes, Jakab M. (Kardos, 61.), Barton, Rotár (Völgyi, 85.), Meggyes (Szabó D., 77.), Malomsoki (Remenár, 85.).
G: Érsek (50.), Kardos (81.), Marinyák (84.).
István Körtvélyesi, head coach:
We played a hard-fought and at times rough match against DVSC. It was difficult for us to get into our rhythm because our opponents broke up the game with fouls, and the refereeing allowed that as well. At the same time, our team has good qualities and the right mindset; we were able to stay calm and adapt to the circumstances. The first half was more about the battle, while in the second half it became possible to play football as well. So you could say we won the match convincingly. Our will prevailed on the pitch. Competitive quality, consistency and tactical preparation brought us the success. Congratulations to the team!
