The young midfielder joins Kispest from La Liga side Racing Santander. Last season the club achieved a historic success, winning the Spanish second division to return to the top flight for the first time since 2011/12. After progressing through Racing's youth ranks, Asier developed with the club's reserve team, Rayo Cantabria, and other lower-league sides in Spain.
Our club had an excellent opportunity to sign the young midfielder on favourable terms. His dribbling ability, technique and pace could all prove valuable to the team.
"This is my first time playing abroad, and I know how big the club I'm joining is. It's a major change in my life, and I want to take my career step by step. I want to spend as much time as possible on the pitch and repay the faith shown in me with good performances. At the same time, I know there's fierce competition for places. I've already spoken to Pablo (Pablo García – ed.), who's also from Santander, and he's helped me with a lot of things since I arrived in Hungary. I can't wait to prove myself to the supporters and coaching staff on the pitch."
Welcome to Kispest, Asier!
