Head coach Csongor Pókos:
“We hosted Austria Wien's age-group side at the academy. We played a very high-scoring, tightly contested match from which we can learn a great deal. It became clear that under higher-intensity pressure we are not yet brave enough to fully commit to our game. At the same time, it was particularly pleasing that we won a lot of balls in the opposition half and were able to turn those into goals. Hats off to the boys; the way they embraced the contest was exemplary!”

Head coach Szabolcs Földi:
“We knew an energetic, creative team was coming to face us, so we were looking forward to the match to see where we stood with more players on the pitch and on a larger field. In possession we were more patient, controlled the tempo of the game better and initiated breakthroughs at the right moments. However, we were not efficient enough with our finishing. We were proactive when trying to win the ball, repeatedly regaining possession immediately after losing it and creating dangerous situations from those moments. We did not collapse after conceding either; we stayed true to our style of play and scored three goals in the final third of the match. We are proud of the children, and congratulations to our opponents, who showed excellent quality!”
Interestingly, at the Jauerling Cup held the previous week it was the Austrian team that came out on top, while we finished third.

Head coach Richárd Takács:
"Following our Wednesday evening match in Osijek, we hosted Austria Wien at home on Friday. We quickly experienced that this time we were facing an opponent playing at a higher tempo, so quicker decisions were needed when we had the ball, while without it we needed discipline and sufficient determination. At the start of the match we were still a little laboured, and the Austrians took advantage of one of our mistakes to take an early lead, but after conceding we managed to step up a gear and turn the game around in a short space of time. Play was balanced throughout the match, with first one team and then the other imposing itself more, but in the attacking third we made the better decisions and found the more creative solutions, while in the defensive third we showed greater desire and commitment. Hats off to our players for fighting so hard in extreme weather conditions for the second time in 48 hours and showing what the Kispest heart means.”
