The traditional Hungarian tournament for U17 national teams, the Telki Cup, is being held this week. Four Honvéd players were called up to Hungary's age-group squad – Áron Russnák, Zalán Varga, Kende Ferencz and Zsombor Liziczay – while Mátyás Jakab, who moved from our club to Juventus in the winter, is also part of the squad.
Gergő Jeremiás's team played its first match against Iceland on Tuesday. Áron Russnák was named in the starting line-up, while Zalán Varga came on as a substitute in the 70th minute. Mátyás Jakab was in goal and kept a clean sheet as Hungary U17 opened the tournament with a 0–0 draw.
