The match did not start well for us, as Herjeczki took advantage of a defensive error at the end of the second minute, carried the ball towards Tujvel and fired left-footed past our goalkeeper into the net. (1-0)
KBSC doubled their lead in the seventh minute. Bódi swung in a free kick from the right and Pethő headed it into the bottom-left corner. (2-0)
A few minutes later, Bódi shot on the turn towards the left corner, but Tujvel got down confidently to the ball. We could have pulled one back in the final quarter of an hour of the first half, but a clear penalty was not awarded after Hangya's cross. Medgyes had a goal disallowed for offside, while Fadgyas saved Lőrinczy's free kick from 25 metres.
In the second half the hosts tried their luck with long-range efforts, one of the most dangerous being Bódi's free kick from a tight angle, which curled just centimetres over the bar. In the final 15 minutes of the half, however, we again could have scored: Hangya had space on the left and sent the ball into the middle towards Farkas, but Varga produced a big clearance in front of our forward. A minute and a half later Farkas was in another excellent position from Lőrinczy's free kick, but guided the ball wide.
In the 76th minute the hosts lost possession at the back and Sigér drove towards goal, but Varga threw himself in front of the shot and we had to settle for a corner. Five minutes later Lőrinczy took a free kick from the left, 17 metres from goal, and the ball flew only narrowly over. The score did not change, however, so we lost 2-0 in Kazincbarcika. In just over two weeks we will have the chance to bounce back away to Kisvárda.
