After suffering a 1–0 defeat to Turkey, Hungary’s women’s U19 national team hosted Bosnia and Herzegovina in Telki. Zsófia Rácz’s side built a two-goal lead in the first half, with the second scored by our recently signed player Sydney Koszo from a header after a corner.
Hungary eventually finished second in the group with three points, so we remain in League B.
Congratulations to Sydney on her performances so far, and we wish her every success at senior level!

Zsófia Rácz, national-team coach:
On the one hand I’m sad about last Wednesday’s match, because the players were unable to show on the pitch the ability they possess. Today, however, we produced a better performance, our mentality was also better and we made fewer unforced errors. It was difficult to go onto the pitch knowing we no longer had a chance of promotion to League A, but we found the motivation needed to win.
