We are delighted to announce that, after Hangya Szilveszter, Szamosi Ádám, Pekár István, Dúzs Gellért, Medgyes Zoltán and Tomás Tujvel, Branko Pauljevic will also remain in Kispest after extending his contract, which was due to expire in June, by one year.
Branko joined the Honvéd family in summer 2024 and has helped our team in 43 competitive matches across all competitions. Last season, in addition to playing an important role in our second-place league finish, he also contributed significantly to our Hungarian Cup run: his goal against DVSC in the fourth round forced extra time and later helped us progress, while he was on target again in the semi-final against Zalaegerszeg, capitalising on a José Calderón error in the 44th minute before firing into the top-left corner.
His experience can again be a major asset to our team next season, both on the pitch and in the dressing room – including in supporting our younger players. Pauljevic has so far made 270 NB I appearances, scoring 13 goals and providing 21 assists. Throughout his career in Hungary he has been a regular member of his team in every season.
