The victory did not come easily: with Tamás Feczkó serving a three-match suspension, István Márton replaced our head coach on the bench, while our assistant coach was also unable to call on Kevin Kállai, Ákos Baki or Patik Pinte because of suspension. Our team finally took the lead in the 73rd minute when Ferenc Ujváry flicked the ball on for Ákos Zuigeber, who rolled it into the far corner. It was our forward's 11th goal in all competitions in 2025–26.
“We got exactly what we expected from the match. We anticipated a very difficult, hard-fought game and that proved to be the case. Karcag lived up to their good reputation as an organised and strong team, especially at home. Fortunately we managed to wear them down and score the winning goal. There were periods of the match when they took control, and they were particularly dangerous from crosses and long throw-ins. Fortunately we managed to get through those spells” – István Márton said at the post-match press conference. He stressed that suspensions and injuries had made things difficult for the team, but those who had previously received fewer opportunities proved they could be counted on at any time.
