Our first team travelled to Kisvárda on Saturday and earned a draw. On Sunday our NB III side hosted Békéscsaba, who were relegated from the Merkantil Bank Liga. Our team included several players who train with the first team or are officially members of the squad, including Bence Varga, Botond Schön, Erik Kovács and Tibor Szabó. Márk Meskó, who recently signed a three-year contract, was also in the squad. Péter Vörös, who joined from Pénzügyőr SE, Levente Schrankó from Balatonfüred and substitute Enzo Vata from Szeged all made their debuts for our second team. Former Kispest crowd favourite Gergő Nagy also featured for the visitors, coached by Szergej Kuznyecov.
The match itself, however, offered little excitement. Neither team seriously threatened the other's goal, perhaps with the exception of Schrankó's fine save from Lajcsik's effort in the sixth minute. The sides had to settle for a point apiece.
Our team visit Vasas II on August 5 in round two of the South-East group.
