Defending champions Honvéd BKE picked up where they had left off a week earlier: they won again with another six goals, this time sweeping aside Budatétény. The returning Youla was the main protagonist, scoring a hat-trick.
At the start of the match the visitors dropped almost completely into their own half, so the first half was played practically in front of the Tétény goal. In the 12th minute Youla was played through, and the Guinean striker burst behind the defenders before calmly finding the net (1–0). Barely two minutes later he was the main man again, doubling Honvéd's lead at the end of another attack (2–0). Late in the half Kamber had to be substituted because of a minor injury, but the pattern of the game did not change.
The gap continued to grow after the break. Bence Lannert scored the third goal (3–0). Not long afterwards Csaba Tóth found the net, converting Youla's unselfish pass (4–0). In the 54th minute Andric, who had opened the previous week with a hat-trick, also got his name on the scoresheet (5–0). The final blow came from Youla again in the 77th minute: after juggling the ball twice, he blasted into the net from 16 metres to make the final score 6–0. Honvéd goalkeeper Komora spent the match virtually idle, having to make only one save.
The defending champions therefore lead the table with a perfect record after two rounds, having scored 12 goals and conceded only one. Among their rivals Ferencváros won comfortably (8–0), while MTK prevailed in a close contest (3–2), so the three historic clubs make up the leading group, with Honvéd top of the competition thanks to a better goal difference.
Honvéd BKE next play ISSIMO SE on Monday, 22 September at the sports ground on Vasgolyó Street.
