As you know, Gábor Kovács's side began the NB III South-East Group season with a goalless draw against Békéscsaba. On Sunday, our second team played at home again, this time hosting Szeged at the academy. We had reason to be optimistic, as we were still unbeaten against the side from Csongrád before the encounter: our four previous meetings had produced two wins and two draws.
We started well and took the lead as early as the 20th minute through Dominik Hancz. Shortly afterwards, Erik Kovács, who recently extended his contract, also found the net against the visitors from Csongrád. But the visitors struck back and managed to equalise before the break. After half-time, Levente Kurdics aimed for the bottom-right corner; although Levente Schrankó saved his effort, Áron Fejős turned in the rebound.
Our second team will next travel to Dabas on Sunday at 5:30 p.m. A few days later, on 19 August at 11 a.m., they will play their postponed league match against Vasas.
