Our second team set off on their first away trip of the season on Sunday, visiting Dabas. The hosts had started the season with a defeat, but their rejuvenated, youthful side had since beaten both Monor SE and Szegedi VSE. Although the head-to-head record favoured us—with 13 Kispest wins, seven draws and five defeats before this encounter—it was the home side who had reason to celebrate.
Tibor Székely’s players took the lead through Dániel Pusztai in the 15th minute, before Marcell Marlen doubled the hosts’ advantage in the 47th. We pulled a goal back late on: Dominik Hancz capitalised on a misplaced pass to beat the Dabas goalkeeper and complete the 3–1 scoreline.
Our second team therefore left empty-handed, but will not have to wait long for the chance to bounce back: next up is Vasas FC II at the Illovszky Rudolf Stadium on Wednesday at 11 a.m.
