Goals from Ákos Zuigeber and Ádám Nyers gave us a two-goal win away to Csákvár. Our 18-year-old player doubled the lead in the 58th minute with a first-time finish after Dominik Csontos's cross. After the final whistle, our player stressed that the team had started the match well and carried that momentum into the second half.
“The team played very well. We started the first 15–20 minutes really strongly and were able to carry that into the second half. We pushed hard right from the start and fortunately I also managed to score. I assess the team's performance very positively” – he said, adding that the badge means a great deal to him because he has been with our club since the age of 12.
“Of course there is a kind of pleasant pressure on me because I am very attached to the club: I have played here since I was 12, so I live and breathe for the badge. I tried to bring that onto the pitch as well, and fortunately I managed to score.”
Our academy graduate was already included in the first-team squad last season and, although he did not get onto the pitch then, he has started 13 times in the current campaign. In the 2025-26 season, Ádám Nyers has scored seven goals in the U19 Elite League, so last Saturday's strike was his eighth goal across all competitions.
“Obviously the intensity and pace are not the same as in a youth match, but there were elements I was able to incorporate into my game and I am trying to make them work here too. Of course I still have a lot to learn. I am surrounded by very experienced players in the team, so I learn a great deal from them, but you can also learn a lot from opponents. Matches are where you can improve the most.”
In the weekend league match, alongside Ádám Nyers, Ferenc Ujváry and István Pekár – returning from a long illness – also started, while Teó Balázs made his league debut as a substitute in the 83rd minute.
