Instead of the usual Monday slot, our Old Boys team took to the pitch on Tuesday this time and claimed a comprehensive victory with a confident performance in round 5. Bábik and Kamber, both back from injury, returned to the starting line-up, while former club favourite Attila Fritz – who played for Honvéd between 2006 and 2010 – also returned in red and black. We made the brighter start and took the lead through Bábik's 17th-minute goal. Seven minutes later Bárányos doubled our advantage, although the hosts managed to pull one back through Kállai before the break.
The second half clearly belonged to Andric, who came on as a substitute in the 30th minute. The striker completed a classic hat-trick in eight minutes and also hit the woodwork twice, decisively settling the contest.
Honvéd BKE eventually ran out convincing 5–1 winners and remain at the top of the league table. The team's united performance and Andric's explosive form made the display particularly memorable.
In the next round, on Monday October 13 (19:30), Pénzügyőr will be our opponents at the Kőér Street sports ground.
