We are delighted to announce that we have signed our young midfielder Ádám Szamosi to a contract running until the summer of 2029. Ádám joined our academy from our partner club Budai FC in February 2021, before Diósgyőri VTK signed him in the summer of 2023 on a deal running until summer 2026. He made his senior debut in NB II with Kazincbarcika and later returned to Kispest on loan. Initially he was given opportunities with our NB III team, but his performances quickly proved that he also belonged in the first-team squad: he made his debut in round 16 of the 2024–25 season and scored his first goal in a Honvéd shirt ten rounds later.
Last season he then truly burst onto the scene: he scored four goals in the opening five rounds and also helped the team with assists, while his creative and unexpected solutions quickly made him one of the supporters' favourites.
His momentum was interrupted, however, by a shoulder injury suffered at Soroksár in the final round of the autumn season, which significantly complicated the rest of his campaign. In the closing stages of the season he again delivered in important moments: he provided an assist in the Hungarian Cup quarter-final against Diósgyőri VTK and scored in extra time in the semi-final against ZTE FC. Across all competitions, he has made 40 competitive appearances for Honvéd, registering six goals and six assists.

It is a double joy for me that here in Kispest – where I also played in the youth system – I was given trust and am being counted on. This begins a new chapter in my career, because I am now – not only on loan, but officially as well – a Honvéd player, which is where I belong" – he said after signing.
