After our team beat ESMTK 2–0 in the Hungarian Cup round of 16 on Wednesday, we return to league action on Sunday. Patrik Pinte spoke about his own performance and the match against Szentlőrinc, and also had a message for the supporters.

Our team has had a busy few days, as Tamás Feczkó’s side will play its third match in a week. After the draw against Budafok, we secured progression in the Hungarian Cup thanks to goals from Ákos Baki and Zoltán Medgyes. Following an individual move by Patrik Pinte, our defender registered his fifth goal of the 2025–26 season in all competitions.

“We are very happy about the win; progressing was extremely important. Everyone gave their absolute maximum. We had chances that unfortunately we could not convert, but I managed to provide an assist for Ákos, which I’m very happy about. The atmosphere is always excellent and I’m sure Sunday will be no different” – our attacker said after the match.

On Sunday we host Szentlőrinc at the Bozsik Aréna. Our opponents currently sit 13th in the table – one point behind Videoton FC Fehérvár – ahead of the 18th round of the Merkantil Bank Liga. The two teams have met in one friendly and three league matches so far. The record is balanced: alongside two draws, each side has one win and one defeat.

“A difficult match certainly awaits us, but we will do everything to win again. Every game is crucial in terms of promotion, and we will need disciplined defending” – Patrik Pinte summed up, before adding that the demanding schedule does not bother the team – quite the opposite…

“I think everyone is happy about it because everyone prefers playing matches to training. I think it’s very good, because everyone gets an opportunity and can contribute to the game.”
