After our second team beat Szegedi VSE 8–1 in the midweek round, we hosted our partner club at the academy at 11 a.m. on Sunday. Monor won the South-East Group title last season under István Halgas but failed to win promotion after their play-off against Gyirmót.
We started well and took the lead in the 20th minute. After winning possession, Dominik Forró set up Márk Meskó, who calmly finished at the near post (1–0). We held on to our advantage and went into the break a goal ahead. The visitors responded soon after half-time, however, with Tamás Ágóts equalising for Monor in the 51st minute (1–1). Both teams had chances in the closing stages, but there were no further goals and the points were shared.
Our second team will next play away at Szolnoki MÁV FC on Saturday at 4 p.m.
