As is known, our players were last in action on Easter Sunday in the derby against Újpest, which ended in a 1–1 draw. There is no stopping despite the international break: together with the coaching staff, the team is working flat out to be ready for the next challenges.
“We are practising tactical elements now that we want to build into our upcoming matches. I think we need to be sharper in attack and collect the second balls in midfield. We have worked on that this week with different exercises” said our 22-year-old defender.
Anna Sain joined our club last summer and during that time head coach Balázs Dörnyei has trusted her in the starting line-up on 13 occasions. Our player says she works hard at every training session to make the most of her opportunities.
“I work hard at every training session to justify the trust. There are many of us in defence and it is difficult to earn an opportunity, but everyone does their part. I am a perfectionist and always try to get the most out of myself, but if something does not come off, I do not collapse; I try to solve the next situation well.”
Before our next league match and the Hungarian Cup final against Ferencváros, our team will play a friendly against Budaörs, who sit 12th in the table. The sides last met competitively in November in Round 11, when we won by three goals.
“It is very good that we can play a friendly during the international break. We thank Budaörs for that. We are preparing now for the next league game and the cup final, and it is great that we can practise what we learned this week in a competitive match situation.”
