Gábor Isa, a former youth coach at our academy, passed away on 29 March 2021, leaving an irreplaceable void behind.
Gábor Isa's absence is felt every day by his family, colleagues, friends and fellow sportsmen, but above all by the young athletes to whom he dedicated his life, whom he raised and taught with incredible strength, faith and trust. His players could rely on him not only on the pitch and in the dressing room, but in everyday life as well. He helped them and listened to them when they needed it, they turned to him for advice, and he guided them even when they had to make major decisions in their lives, including after he was no longer their coach.
In his memory and to help young people, his family established the Isa Gábor Foundation. It was founded by Gábor Isa's widow, Judit Tóth, with the aim of preserving a part of his life's work. The foundation's purpose is to support young people training at the Academy, selected by the foundation's board of trustees. The chair of the board is Gábor Isa's daughter, Krisztina Isa, and its members also include Norbert Domján, our academy's head scout, and Márton Bogdánfi (head coach of our academy's U17 team and a former assistant to Gábor Isa).
