Dávid Holman will leave Kispest after two seasons. Our club has decided not to extend the 32-year-old midfielder’s contract. Holman joined us in the summer of 2023 after leaving Slovan Bratislava and made his Kispest debut in a match against Csákvár. During his two seasons with us he made 44 competitive appearances (41 league matches, 3 Hungarian Cup matches), scoring five goals and providing nine assists.
Richárd Vernes has worn our team’s red-and-black shirt on several occasions. As an academy graduate, he made his Honvéd debut in May 2011 in a top-flight match against Siófok and remained a member of the club without interruption until the summer of 2016. After a year on loan at Paks, he played for Zalaegerszeg, Diósgyőr, in Israel, at Vasas, Győr and BVSC, before returning to Kispest in February 2024. Our 33-year-old forward recorded 18 goals and 18 assists in 101 appearances for our senior team across all competitions.
Nyitrai Bence, having progressed through the youth ranks, also made his NB II debut as a home-grown player – though not in Kispest, but at Siófok. He was given opportunities in 20 matches last season and seven in the first part of the current campaign, scoring one goal.
Balázs Kesző Farkas joined the first-team squad on loan in September after leaving ETO FC Győr; with his contract expiring, he will return to Győr. The 23-year-old forward scored twice in 14 league appearances.
Kornél Ene will also leave when his contract expires. The defender, born in Satu Mare, arrived last summer and made 10 appearances for Honvéd’s first team; in the second half of the season he mostly played for our NB III side.
We wish all of our departing players every success in the next stage of their careers!
