Our U19 and U17 teams remain unbeaten. Three of our sides came back from two goals down.

Our U19 side, fighting for the league title, hosted PAFC at the Academy. We took the lead from a penalty and although the Felcsút side 'got back into the game' before half-time, we ultimately kept all three points at home. MTK remain perfect at the top after another win, while Videoton suffered their first defeat, so Márton Bogdánfi's still-unbeaten team is now second on points as well.

Budapest Honvéd FC U19–PAFC U19 3–1 (1–1)

Honvéd: Papp – Szabó Á., Horváth Á., Csörgő, Meskó (Schön, 58.), Kecskés (Merkl, 77.), Milicz, Gáspár, Komlósi, Nyers (Balázs, 77.), Kovács E. (Tasi, 68.).

G: Nyers (28.), Kovács E. (66.), Kőfalvi (74. – own goal), and Rus (44.).

Márton Bogdánfi, head coach:

We started the match well and pinned our opponents back in the opening quarter of an hour, but we could not score. After that the game became more balanced with few chances. The visitors had the better start to the second half and we needed some time to reorganise. They had more possession, but from two perfect counter-attacks we managed to score the goals that won us the match. I am not completely satisfied because our opponents surprised us and we struggled to react, so there were periods when we were not in control. The positives are the mentality and the result: we managed to win a genuine derby, which was very important for us before the two-week league break.

Our U17 side came back from two goals down in a difficult match against Fradi and remain unbeaten in the 2025–26 season. The green-and-whites lead the table ahead of us only on goal difference. Viktor Petrók's players next appear in the league on October 18, when they travel to Felcsút.

Budapest Honvéd FC U17–Ferencvárosi TC U17 2–2 (0–2)

Honvéd: Balogh B. (Liziczay, – at half-time) – Ferencz, Schwarcz (Shodunke, – at half-time.), Szőke (För, 59.), Érsek (Happe, 87.), Martin, Balaskó (Domján, – at half-time), Varga Z., Bokor, Kovács Á., Csákány.

G: Bokor (62.), Varga Z. (94. – from a penalty), and Kiss M. (21.), Galambos (34.).

Zalaegerszeg caused no problems for István Körtvélyesi's side. Our U16s stayed unbeaten for the third consecutive match and, only one point behind the DVSC–Kisvárda duo, await the continuation from third place. Next week, fellow front-runners MTK come to the Academy.

Viktor Petrók, head coach:

Unfortunately today we managed to execute only a few elements of our playing style and ideas effectively. Against a physically strong opponent we were forced into many duels, made many technical errors and were unable to keep possession. At two goals down our play improved somewhat, and thanks to that, our belief and a little luck, we managed to equalise.

ZTE FC U16–Budapest Honvéd FC U16 0–5 (0–2)

Honvéd: Székely (Szabó A., 73.), Marinyák, Kralicsek, Horváth-Garaba, Solymos, Jakab M. (Meggyes, 67.), Barton (Remenár, 73.), Rotár (Hegyes, 60.), Völgyi (Kardos, 60.), Hajagos, Ortó.

G: Solymos (22.), Hajagos (24., 87.), Völgyi (56.), Kardos (63.).

István Körtvélyesi, head coach:

We played on a smaller pitch than usual, but it did not disrupt us. We reacted very well to the changes, our combination play was excellent and we played at a great tempo. In the attacking zone we were a little over-elaborate and could have scored more goals. We need simpler finishes going forward. Overall, the match unfolded the way we wanted throughout, and the concentration and mentality deserve special praise. Congratulations to the boys!

Our U15 side is still chasing its first victory and, like the U19s, faced PAFC. Our team came back from two goals down and ultimately shared the points in an eight-goal thriller.

PAFC U15–Budapest Honvéd FC U15 4–4 (3–2)

Honvéd: Petró – Nyiri, Palásti (Pisont, 51.), Józsa, Menyhárt (Schill, 60.), Magyar A. (Gerebenes, 51.), Tőzsér (Kovács N., 60.), Varga B. (Matyó, 78.), Szabó D., Szijjártó, Malomsoki.

G: Rozgonyi (5.), Bajkó (16.), Szijjártó (29. – own goal), Nóránt, (70.), and Balogh D. (26. – own goal), Palásti (40.), Malomsoki (65. – from a penalty), Pisont (69.).

Tamás Szamosi, head coach:

We produced two completely different halves. In the first half we gifted the home side three goals, but we kept our composure because in the final moment of the first half we managed to improve the scoreline and close the gap to one! In the second half the team showed the face we always want to see: in every respect we rose above the home side!

Like our U15s, our U14 side travelled to Felcsút and, just like the older age group, the points were decided in another eight-goal match. This time, however, all three went to PAFC, who remain unbeaten in the league. We have played one match fewer but are only three points off the podium, whose lowest step is currently occupied by the very MTK side we face at the weekend.

PAFC U14–Budapest Honvéd FC U14 5–3 (4–1)

Honvéd: Mező (Ehmann, 58.), Karácsony, Oláh-Sebők, Horváth B., Babalola, Marte, Nnadi (Keindl, 52.), Palaga (Oke, 52.), Kamber (Kovács B., 52.), Rácz (Tóth G., 52.), Hanzély.

G: Kotek (2., 25.), Sólyom (8., 39., 70), and Marte (4., 80.), Oke (40.).

Gergely Fűzfa, head coach:

We wanted to improve our play in possession compared with the previous match, and we succeeded. We played more consciously and confidently throughout the whole game. We are dissatisfied with our defensive work without the ball in the first half; we lacked aggression in both individual and team defending. We gifted our opponents easy goals, and players with this level of individual quality immediately punish that. The players who came on in the second half added a great deal to our game, both with and without the ball – hats off to them! We are happy with the three goals we scored and will keep working on improving our shortcomings!
