None of our age-group teams were beaten in last week's rounds.

Márton Bogdánfi's team beat Illés Akadémia 2–0, while our U16 side defeated ZTE FC by five goals, sending both age groups to the top of their tables. Our U17s drew 1–1 with PAFC at the Bozsik Arena, while our U14 team brought all three points home from DVTK.

U19

Our U19 team beat Illés Akadémia 2–0 thanks to goals from Dávid Gáspár and Erik Kovács and moved to the top of the table. MTK are one point behind in second, although our rivals have not yet played in this round. Márton Bogdánfi's side are therefore unbeaten in eight matches and will continue away to ETO in the next round.

Goals: Gáspár (22.), Kovács (51.)

Márton Bogdánfi, head coach:

For most of the match we were trying to break down our opponent's organised defence. We created several big chances but were able to convert only two of them.

U17

In Round 17 of the elite league, our U17s drew 1–1 with PAFC. Although the visitors took the lead through Ádám Ratkai in the second half, we equalised in the 93rd minute with a penalty from Zalán Varga. Viktor Petrók's team are unbeaten in 11 matches and sit second in the league with 34 points.

Goal: Varga (93.)

Viktor Petrók, head coach:

Both teams tried to show their own style, but in reality both managed it only in periods. Based on our approach and the chances, perhaps we deserved more, but at least our mistakes have consequences, which helps us correct them in a more motivated and tangible way. In attack and defence alike we have to play patiently and rationally, but also aggressively, and we need to control the tempo of the game better. Congratulations to the team for their attitude when we were behind!

U16

In the U16 competition our academy players beat ZTE FC by five goals and moved to the top of the table. In the next round we visit MTK, who are second in the league, two points behind us.

Elite league, Round 16

Budapest Honvéd FC–ZTE FC 5–0 (3–0)

Goals: Solymos (12.), Hajagos (16.), (52.), Vérten (44.), Hegyes (59.)

István Körtvélyesi, head coach:

Our task was not simple in this match either: our opponents defended compactly and, after winning the ball, tried to attack the spaces behind us. We expected this and prepared for it. Our play was sufficiently combinative and goal-oriented. With more accurate finishing we could have scored even more. Congratulations to the team on both the performance and the result.

U15

Our U15 team beat Vasas Kubala Akadémia 2–0 away through goals from Márton Menyhárt and Alexander Magyar. Tamás Szamosi's side are seventh in the league with 23 points and will host Várda Labdarúgó Akadémia at the Bozsik Arena in Round 18.

From the first minute until the final whistle, we controlled the match! Our defending worked well and we continuously created chances in transition. Congratulations to the players, they produced an outstanding performance! We earned three important points!

U14

Our U14s also ended the weekend successfully, earning a one-goal win away to DVTK. Although Djordje Kamber's team went into half-time one goal behind, they turned the game around in the second half and brought home all three points. After the match, our team headed towards Mezőkövesd to support the first team in their away league game.

Goals: Nnadi (60.), Marte (70.), Hanzély (75.)

Djordje Kamber, head coach:

We did not start the match well: we could not control possession the way we had planned. We played timidly and without focus. Even so, we had a few clear chances, but the opposition still took the lead. We started the second half better and began to play our own game, but the opponent took advantage of a lapse in concentration and one mistake to make it 2–0. Even after that, we kept playing hard and with discipline and did not abandon our style. We managed to turn the score around and could even have scored more goals. Congratulations to the boys for their fight and commitment. They showed their character and never gave up for a moment. Congratulations to the team.
